Track meets, cross country, dance, concerts, and basketball are just a few of the events he would attend. If he was not attending one of their activities, he might be in the shed making or fixing something for any one of his girls or working in his garden. Ted was diagnosed with cancer on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, and kept his spirit and personality strong to the end, planning much of his own funeral service. He insisted on being a tissue donor and was able to donate his corneas in order to help someone else with continued sight. Ted grew up and lived all but two years of his life in the Winner area.
David also played football, basketball, and baseball if he was not hunting, fishing, or working. The summer before college, he worked at Homestake Mine. While attending Southern State University he was drafted into the Army. He was enlisted July of 1971 and honorably discharged December of 1972. He was deployed to Korea as a security guard in the DMZ for the United Nations. Dave received the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service in the performance of his duties as Squad Leader and won Expert Marksmanship as well.

Janet’s school years began in Winner, and she later graduated from Winner High School in 1956. Highlights of this time were spending time at baseball, football, and basketball games with close friends Bev Mason, Rita Reckling, Vesta Bice, and Gloria Rowe. Janet’s dad loved taking the girls to games and spoiling them with treats. Janet felt very blessed growing up in Winner with seven uncles and one aunt; they made her proud to be a Schramm, and she had a special relationship with each one of them.
The family lived in Mission, SD and then moved back to Jerry’s home town of Grandview, WA. Elsie spent most of her adult life in northern California where she married her husband Russell Newberg December 21, 1945. They lived there for several years before buying a home in Palo Alto and in 1962 bought a home in Livermore, California. Dorothy and Sam began their life together in Grand Island, Neb., where their son, Michael LeRoy, was born.

His classmates became his hands and feet and would do anything for him. They helped him with homework and Bromley helped them back, they got his lunch tray and fed him, they were his protectors. Bromley was like a magnet at school, everyone just stuck to him. Bromley Roger Heath is the old son of Justin and Shelley Heath of rural Colome, SD. He was born on a cold winter day, Jan. 6, 2006. He left his loving family to join Heaven on Nov. 16, 2022, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. Ted graduated from Winner High School and then started working at Mid Dakota Meats and then at Anderson Tires.

He was a member of Fishers Chapel Church where he served on the Board of Trustees for a number of years. Billy graduated from Subligna High School and attended Northeast State, Coosa Valley Tech, and Dalton College. He was born June 27, 1943 in Monticello, IL, son of Robert and Pearl Harper. Larry never missed an opportunity to impart his own sense of humor, and he was reliable in innumerable ways throughout his life. He was a beacon in dark times and was always steadfast in uncertain times. Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022 at noon at the Winner Ideal Community Hall in Winner, SD. He was Baptist by faith, and was a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Mincey also worked as a truck driver for 37 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mincey was preceded in death by grandparents, Wheeler and Bessie Mincey, John and Effie Costello; aunts and uncles,... On June 3, 1966, she married Raymond L. They returned to South Dakota in 1999 and lived in the Lake Andes area prior to moving to Buffalo, SD in 2008. Jerry enjoyed helping area ranchers in the summer and began a new career as a leather craftsman. His father was a ditch rider for the open irrigation systems of the Yakima Valley in Washington state and Jerry rode the ditch banks on his pony from an early age. He owned and trained horses until the last few years of his life, when his health did not permit him to continue. Pam is survived by six grandchildren, Mac’s daughters – Deyondra and Hadessa. Also, Kip’s children Kyle, Tawni, Corbin and Teegon.
